Dr. Jill Paslier, PharmD, CSP, FISMP
CEO and Founder
Jill founded Specia in 2021 under Paslier Consulting LLC, initially offering disease-specific workflows to guide pharmacists through specialty pharmacy assessments, education, and interventions. These resources became popular among her accreditation clients while she was working with Integral Healthcare Solutions (IHS). In 2024, Jill partnered with Lynnae Mahaney to expand these specialty pharmacy resources under the Specia brand.
In addition to her work with Specia, Jill works with Paslier Consulting LLC, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP), and MetaStar. Her previous roles include COO and Senior Accreditation Consultant at IHS and Pharmacy Program Coordinator and Specialty Clinical Pharmacist at Banner Family Pharmacy-Specialty Care. Jill earned her PharmD from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2014 and completed the ISMP International Safe Medication Management Fellowship in 2021. She is certified in Medication Safety, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Specialty Pharmacy, and Google Project Management. Dr. Paslier brings expertise in accreditation, clinical program development, operational development, project management, and medication safety.
Lynnae Mahaney, BSPharm, MBA, FASHP
VP of Business Development
Lynnae Mahaney oversees business development at Specia bringing extensive experience leadership, program and business development, and sales and marketing skills to improve the lives of patients through exceptional pharmacy care.
Her past leadership positions include community hospital, VA hospital Chief of Pharmacy and VA national roles, and executive director positions for start-up companies in the US and international pharmacy accreditation programs. She is also an experienced consultant in the US and internationally and continues to mentor young leaders. Lynnae continues project work within the healthcare sector through her company XXR Solutions LLC, where she consults with health systems and pharmacies to improve quality, accreditation compliance, and patient care strategies. She is a past president and fellow of ASHP, fellow of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, and remains active with these organizations and several others.
Dr. Johnson Ching, PharmD, CSP
Clinical Pharmacist Consultant
Johnson contributes to Specia by writing and peer-reviewing disease-specific workflows and other clinical content. With specialized expertise in oncology, rheumatology, dermatology, and gastroenterology, he brings a robust clinical background to his role.
Johnson also works as a Clinical Pharmacist at Duke University Health System. He earned his PharmD from Ferris State University College of Pharmacy in 2017 and did a PGY1 residency at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy. His previous roles include positions at Banner Family Pharmacy-Specialty Care in Arizona and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where he developed quality improvement projects, contributed to URAC and ACHC accreditation, precepted residents, and promoted medication safety. His current practice interests are focused on oncology, rheumatology, and dermatology within ambulatory care.
Dr. Amber Rollo, PharmD, CSP, AAHIVP
Clinical Pharmacist Consultant
Amber specializes in creating and reviewing disease-specific workflows and clinical content at Specia. With a strong background in hepatology and infectious disease, Dr. Rollo is recognized as both a skilled clinician and leader in her field.
Amber also serves as Associate Director at Banner Family Pharmacy-Specialty Care in Arizona. She graduated summa cum laude with her PharmD from Midwestern University College of Pharmacy-Glendale in 2013 and has years of experience in retail and specialty pharmacy. Currently, she leads specialty staff pharmacists and interns, oversees a PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program, and chairs the Quality Council at Banner Family Pharmacy-Specialty Care. Dr. Rollo is actively involved in maintaining URAC, ACHC, and ASHP accreditations.
Frances Abanonu
Clinical Pharmacy Intern Consultant
Frances Abanonu supports Specia's pharmacists with clinical content research, document editing and formatting, and special projects aimed at advancing Specia's pharmacy workflows.
She is currently a pharmacy student at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, bringing a strong background in pharmacotherapy, patient care, and medication safety to her role. Frances works as a medication reconciliation intern in the emergency room at North Memorial Hospital, where she collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure safe and accurate medication use by reviewing and reconciling patients' medication histories.
Her previous experience as a pharmacy technician and intern at CVS Pharmacy strengthened her patient counseling skills, helping patients understand their medications and adhere to treatment plans. She also serves as Public Relations Officer for her local chapter of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA), leading community outreach initiatives to promote healthcare access and equity. Additionally, Frances volunteers at the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic, a student-run clinic serving underserved populations, and participates in outreach to inspire high school students to pursue careers in pharmacy. Her academic background in mathematics and computer science enhances her problem-solving and analytical skills in complex healthcare settings.
